The virus strain which was found in the current Covid-19 clusters is different from the previous cluster of Covid- 19, say the scientists in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
This virus strain circulating in the country is of the B.1.42 lineage which caused the Minuwangoda Cluster, Peliyagoda Fish Market Cluster and Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) Cluster is similar to the one found in Europe.
