Two additional days for postal voting

The National Elections Commission (NEC) has decided to allocate two additional days for postal voting for those who were unable to cast their postal votes for the upcoming General Election.

Accordingly, those who were unable to cast their postal votes can vote on 24 and 25 July, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

NEC Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya said that there is a little decrease in the number of those who cast postal vote due to the school holidays.

The postal voting started on July 13 and concluded on July 21. Deshapriya said the Commission which met on Tuesday decided to facilitate two more days for the postal vote.
